SproutX is on the hunt for fast scaling, nationally based AgTech startups with global ambitions.

The SproutX Accelerator Program is an annual national program that helps startups impacting the agriculture, food, and energy space, to achieve their mission through effective coaching and highly personalised curriculum.

We know founders have busy lives in their startups and outside of them.

Our curriculum is tailored to give you exactly what your startup needs and let you get back to it.

The program spans across six months in the form of workshop sprints every five weeks. The courses are held in a hybrid format, consisting of online industry panels and masterclasses, together with in-person events and producer tours.

ACCELERATOR FAQ

What participants ask

 

  • The SproutX Acelerator runs annually as a 6-month hybrid program.

    At minimum, we run a producer tour for our cohort each year, in which travel will be subsidised for up to two interstate founders per startup.

    Workshop sprints are held every five weeks online. In between workshops, startup teams are expected to be working full time on their ventures, with weekly one hour mentor sessions held by video call.

  • The SproutX Accelerator Program takes a 2% sweat equity from startup candidates that are selected into the program. SproutX offers $100,000 in-kind value back to the startups.

  • Startups with:

    • a registered ABN with 50% of staff and business presence in Australia,

    • owning all IP,

    • and full time commitement from at least one founder

    SproutX is on the look out for ag/ foodtech startup teams that posess strong management skills, product competitiveness, commercial and export readiness, viability, regulatory compliance, scalability potential, and demonstrated ability to benefit from the SproutX program. To remain aligned with our values and purpose, SproutX does not accept startups in industries that cause direct harm to humanity or the planet, such as gambling, tobacco, alcohol, weapons or any environmental destruction.

  • The Accelerator requires at least one founder in the team to be working full time currently within their startup - or working towards an equivalent full time commitment by the start of the program.

  • While you do not have to be an Australian citizen, your business must be domiciled in Australia, and during the program you must be located on the continent. If you are from overseas, you will be required to move to Australia during the program.
